Get Involved. See What God Can Do Through You.
First United Methodist Church of Fort Lupton has several safe, fun, age-appropriate options for the children and youth in our community. Every child is respected as who God has made them to be and is made aware of His love for them!
Christian Life Club
Fridays – 4:30 – 6:00 pm
Christian Life Club has been up and running for years now. It’s been a school year calendar program that parents from the community could sign up their children for. The program offers a Christian-based curriculum that involves, arts, crafts, games, and friendship. The volunteers try to provide a healthy snack with the occasional sweets.
I’m grateful this program exists and can provide a place for the children of the community can come and parents are comfortable with what they are learning and being exposed to. Please contact our children and youth director, if you have any more questions.
Children’s and Youth Sunday School
Children’s and Youth Sunday School is provided for 5 years to 12th grade. They are on a rotation with different church volunteers all lessons are Bible-based.
Children’s and Youth Sunday School is running during church service. This provides a place for the kids to go and learn and it gives the parents/caregivers a time for worship.
Nursery is provided for children 0-4 years old during church service.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is something we put on every year in the summer for the kids of the community. You do not have to be a member of the church to have your children attend. It is four days filled with stories, crafts, games, singing and snacks. The theme changes from year to year but God’s word is always the star of the show. As a church we find it important to put on this program every year because it offers a place for the kids to go and learn about God. Bonus, it provides childcare for a few hours in the summer.
Youth Group
Fridays – 4:30 – 6:00 pm
Youth Group has been an established program for a long time here. It runs along side the school year calendar. Right now, we have 6th-12th grade students. Members of the church get involved with the youth group by signing up to provide dinner, lessons, or activities. The lessons and activities provided are all Bible-based.
As the Youth Director, it’s important to me to show the youth how important it is to be a servant. Serve the church, serve the community, serve your peers. That is spreading God’s love.
We try and do a few reward trips throughout the year, this past year we went to Water World and to the Corn Maze. We find those just as important as everything else because they are getting to bond with each other and do clean good fun.
Church isn’t supposed to be a place to be serious all the time. Church should be a place you turn for fellowship, hardship, and adventure. God will take you on one wild adventure.
